Hammerhead temperature too high
Reason:
- Excessive or insufficient lubricating oil on the hammerhead can increase friction and cause excessive temperature.
- There is an issue with the quality of the lubricating oil.
- Uneven feeding causes an uneven force on the hammerhead, resulting in a high-temperature phenomenon.
Solutions:
Check the lubrication of the hammerhead and promptly improve it if you find poor lubrication.
Ensure uniform and continuous feeding.
Bearing overheating
Reason:
- Insufficient lubricating grease.
- Excessive lubricating grease.
- Lubricating grease contamination and deterioration.
- Bearing damage.
Solutions:
- Add an appropriate amount of lubricating grease.
- The lubricating grease inside the bearing should be 50% of its space volume.
- Clean the bearings and replace the lubricating grease.
- Replace bearings.

Sharp increase in hammer crusher vibration
Reason:
- When replacing the hammerhead, or due to cone head damage, the static balance of the rotor does not meet the requirements.
- The hammerhead is broken, and the rotor is unbalanced.
- The sales shaft is bent or broken.
- Triangle plates or disc cracks.
- The anchor bolts are loose.
Solutions:
- Remove the hammerhead and select the hammerhead according to weight. So the total weight of the hammer on each hammer shaft is the same as the total weight of the hammer on the relative hammer shaft, which means the static balance meets the requirements.
- Replace the hammerhead.
- Replace the pin shaft.
- Adopt welding repair or replacement of triangular plates or discs.
- Tighten the anchor bolts.
Excessive current fluctuation
The current of the hammer crusher fluctuates greatly, and sometimes the current exceeds the limit. Even if the vibrating feeder continues feeding the materials, the current of the hammer crusher will still decrease.
Reason:
- Uneven supply of materials.
- The feeding materials contain large pieces of raw material.
Solutions:
Uniformly distribute the materials and reduce the entry of oversized blocks into the crushing chamber to ensure a stable working current of the hammer crusher. Generally speaking, if the feeding is uniform, the fluctuation range of the working current of the hammer crusher should not exceed 20A.
Current increases during feeding
As long as we feed the material, the hammer crusher’s g current increases and remains high. When not feeding, the current will gradually decrease.
Reason:
The material is too wet, causing the lining plate to stick and the sieve plate holes blocked, resulting in a low crushing effect. The material cannot discharge from the sieve plate in time.
Solutions:
Throw some hard materials into the hammer crusher to break them. Then it uses the corresponding materials to strike the wet materials on the lining and sieve plates while crushing, achieving the purpose of cleaning. If this method cannot solve the problem, it indicates that the sticking phenomenon is serious. It needs to stop the machine for cleaning.
Not much feeding material, but with high current
The hammer crusher does not have much input material, but the current is high, and there is not much fluctuation in the current.
Reason:
- The hammer head, lining plate, and sieve plate are broken, causing excessive clearance between the hammer head and lining plate, resulting in poor crushing effect of the material.
- The distance between the hammer head and the sieve plate is large, which prevents qualified materials from being discharged in time.
Solutions:
Adjust the gap by replacing the hammer head, lining plate, and sieve plate to ensure the gap between the hammer head and various parts meets the equipment requirements.
Increase in discharge particle size
The discharge particle size increases but still meets the raw material ratio requirements.
Reason:
- The hammer head and lining plate are broken, and the crushing effect is not good.
- If we use the sieve plate for a long time, the aperture will become larger.
Solutions:
- Check the worn parts and replace them immediately.
- If there are lumps in the discharge, it may be due to local damage to the sieve plate. Replace the sieve plate immediately.
After feeding the material, the rotor speed are slow or stop
When starting the car with no load, everything is normal, but the speed of the feeding rotor immediately decreases and even stops running.
Reason:
The drive belt is too loose.
Solutions:
- Adjust the drive belt to ensure proper tightness. The inspection method is: when the V-belt is stationary, it is advisable to press the thickness of 1-2 V-belts.
- Apply rosin powder and belt grease to the belt to reduce slipping.
Production reduction
Reason:
- The gaps between the sieve strips are blocked.
- Uneven feeding.

- Stop the car and clean the blockages in the gaps between the sieve strips.
- Adjust the vibrating feeder to ensure even feeding.
